Services for Ruth Kirby, 81, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the
Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial was in
Terry
County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Kirby died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, in Brownfield.
She was born June 4, 1924, in Roxton and was married to B. B. Kelly who preceded
her in death. She was married to G. H. "June" Kirby on July 22,
1961. He died
Nov. 10, 1982. Mrs. Kirby was a high school graduate and a
member of Immanuel
Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons - Gary Kelly of
Independence, Mo., and
Tim Kirby and his wife, Shirley, of New Deal - and one daughter: Pam
Withers of
Keokuk, Iowa.
Mrs. Kirby is also survived by one stepdaughter, Debra Richardson; two sisters:
Susie Hall of San Francisco, Calif., and May Doss of Coal Hill, Ark; one
brother:
Barney Davis of Breckenridge and by six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
