                                Services for Bessie Arlene Kennedy, 89, of Brownfield, will be held at
                                2:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel
                                with Bob Reynolds, Virgil Lawyer and Delbert Bradley officiating.   Burial
                                will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

                                Mrs. Kennedy died Friday, May 12, 2006, in Brownfield.   She was born
                                Oct. 12, 1916, in Waxahachie and was married to Weldon W. Kennedy on
                                Dec 15, 1936, in Abbott.   He died on Dec 3, 1983.    They lived in Dallas and
                                the Rio Grande Valley prior to moving to Brownfield in 1956.   They also lived
                                in Las Vegas, Nevada, for 10 years before returning to Brownfield in 1981.

                                Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ.   She is
                                survived by one brother:  Joe Dugger of Waxahachie; one sister: Lou Lawyer of
                                Searcy, Ark., and by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-
                                grandchildren.    She was preceded in death by one son: Garry Lee Kennedy, on
                                Dec 28, 1993, and two sisters: Ruth Statum and Marion Hettich.
