Peggy Ann Kapler, 59, a loving mother, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Lubbock.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Trinity Church with Pastor Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday evening at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be her cousins: Danny Bell, Kelly Bowers, Tim Bowers, Enrique Serrato, Jim Swadley, Lance Williams, Ace Williams, and Guy Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be her uncles: Alfred Bearden, Jarvis Roach, and Knox Hinkle.

Peggy was born Feb. 28, 1950, to Clarence and Ida Hinkle in Brownfield. She worked for American State Bank in Brownfield for 19 years.  In 1990 moved she to Lubbock and continued her banking career at Wells Fargo. Peggy was a precious person with a giving heart. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. To know her was to love her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hinkle and a sister, Sandra Hinkle.   Those left to cherish her memories are her mother, Ida Hinkle; her daughter, Traci De La Cruz and husband, Chris of Lubbock; three granddaughters: Ashlee, Lexi, and Brooklyn all of Lubbock; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
