                                Willie Ferman Jones joined his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2006.  Services
                                were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, at the Calvary Baptist Church with
                                Rev. Doug Puryear officiating.  Interment will be in Terry County Memorial
                                under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

                                Mr. Jones was born on June 30, 1913, in Jones County to the late James and
                                Alma Jones.  He moved with his parents to Meadow in 1927 and moved to 
                                Brownfield in 1939 where he married Connie Roe on Sept. 21, 1940.

                                They farmed in Terry County until their retirement in 1976.   After retiring, he
                                owned and operated Jones Trading Post for 20 years until moving to Lubbock in
                                1996.   After the loss of his wife on March 26, 2002, after 61 years of marriage,
                                Willie returned to Brownfield to live out his final years.

                                He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Dell Leach, one son, Jimmy
                                Simmons and by two brothers and two sisters.    

                                Those left here to celebrate his life and mourn his passing are his children: Frances
                                Chidester of Kilgore, Theda Riskus of San Angelo and Joyce Light of Lubbock;
                                11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

                                Pallbearers will be Scott Bell, Kent Bell, Robert Light, Trey Hammett, Taylor
                                Richardson, Tyler Bell and Brad Hudson.    The family will be gathering for lunch
                                at noon in the Fellowship Hall of the Calvary Baptist Church.
