Albert Earl Jones, 82, of Ruidoso and formerly of Brownfield passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Ruidoso.   Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Earl was born August 26, 1927, in Childress to L. M. and Mabel Jones. He later moved to Lubbock with his family, where he graduated high school. He then received a Bachelor's in Business degree from Texas Tech University where he was a wrangler.

Earl moved to Brownfield in 1950.   On January 25, 1953, he married Maye Williams in Lubbock.  She preceded him in death on June 28, 1999.

Earl owned and operated Jones and Copeland Insurance in Brownfield, which later became Jones and Lowe Insurance Agency. He retired in 2001. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Masons in Brownfield. Earl was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Munro and her husband Stan of El Paso, and two grandsons, Nicolas and Alexander Munro of El Paso.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to The American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
