L. Jones, 77, of Brownfield were held at 2 pm, Monday, May 7, 2007,
at Shady Oaks Church of God with Rev. Eugene Ballard officiating.
Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the
Direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. D. L. passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Rogers, Ark. to Earl and Verna Jones. He was raised in Caddo, TX and moved to Brownfield in 1949. D. L. married Ora Pearl Quinney, Jan. 10, 1953, in Brownfield. He had been employed with the Texas Highway Department for 40 years, retiring in May of 1991. He was a former member of Oddfellows and a member of Shady Oaks Church of God. He is survived by his wife Pearl; two daughters, Glenda Freeman and her husband Leon, and Brenda Snyder and her husband Larry, all of Brownfield; 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
