Claudell Jones, 70, of Lubbock were held Monday, Sept. 29, at Challis Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Smith officiating. Interment followed in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Claudell was born on May 22, 1938, in Mexia to Claude and Dorothy Ann Johnson. She married James Neil Jones on Aug. 9, 1954, in Lovington, N.M. They moved to Brownfield together in 1954. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1968. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock. Claudell is survived by two daughters, Teresa Nelson of Lubbock and Claudia Denise Dorman of Lubbock; her son, Mark Neil Jones of Lubbock; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
