Johnson, 85, of Wolfforth passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in
Lubbock. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Brownfield
Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Terry County
Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Horace was born on June 21, 1923, to Luther and Myrtle Johnson in Brownfield. He attended schools in Plains and graduated from Plains High School. He married Mary Ruth Dunn on Sept. 21, 1946, in Brownfield. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2004. Horace enlisted in the army when he was 17, serving in WWII. He worked as a civil engineer at Reese Air force Base for more than 20 years. Horace is survived by 2 sons, Johnny Johnson of Wolfforth and Larry Johnson and his wife Shirley of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Brownfield News |
