Services for Mary Jo Jennings, 81, of Brownfield were held Nov. 11 at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial followed in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Jo passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in Brownfield. She was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Nashville, Ark., to Samuel Luther and Myrtle Josephine Jones. She graduated from Nashville High School. Jo moved to Brownfield in the 1940's and married J. C. Jennings, Dec. 23, 1949, in Hobbs, N.M. He preceded her in death March 14, 1983.

Jo loved her family, friends, fishing and her darling "Miss Daisy," not necessarily in that order. She worked more than 36 years for Brownfield State Bank, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Jo is preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Lowe, in 2007.

Pallbearers were Thomas Cargill, Dean Clark, Dr. Howard Hurd II, Jerry Johnson, David Lefevre, and Ed Pfeiffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Alexander, Jack Browder, Doyle Clary, Coy Jones, and Rex Wilkes.

Jo is survived by her daughters, Kelley Jennings and Sam Miller of Lubbock; a sister, Sue Ballard, of Brownfield; two nieces, Mary Margaret Mahler of Seagraves and Susie Hulen of Tyler; one nephew, Bill Jones, of Texarkana and numerous family and friends.

The family suggests memorials to Brownfield Church of Christ Building Fund, 502 Lubbock Road, Brownfield, Tx 79316.
