| Services for
Leonard T. Isaacs, 90, of Brownfield will be held at 2pm, Thursday,
April 12, 2012, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald
Leatham officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Rosary will be at 6pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home with
visitation to follow until 8pm. Leonard Isaacs passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012, in Lubbock. He was born on July 24, 1921, in Charlie, Texas to Frank and Beatrice Isaacs. He graduated from Byers High School and then served two tours of duty in the United States Army during World War II. Leonard married Grace Fenoglio on September 17, 1948, in Wichita Falls. They were lifelong members of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Leonard worked
for the City of Brownfield Municipal Power Plant for over 37 years
retiring as Superintendent. He served two terms as Brownfield Fire
Chief. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, a 50 year
member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW member and American Legion
member. Leonard was a fan of the Brownfield Cubs Athletics, South
Plains College Texans and Texas Tech Red Raiders. He was also a
devoted member of the McDonalds early morning coffee club and
enjoyed the daily dominoes at the XYZ club and he was an avid fan of
the Western channel. Leonard is preceded in death by his wife,
Grace; 3 children, Randy Mark Isaacs, Gina Cecile Isaacs and
Kimberlee Ann Isaacs; 4 brothers; A.R. "Ike" Isaacs, Mannie Isaacs,
Russell Isaacs and Glen Isaacs. |
