Odell Hoy

Graveside services for Odell Hoy, 94, of Lubbock, formerly of
Brownfield, were held Thursday, Dec. 7, in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Charles Addington officiating.
Mrs. Hoy died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, in Lubbock. She was born
Oct. 3, 1912, in Goldwaithe to Charlie and Tiny Knight. She was
married to J. T. Hoy on Feb. 16, 1936 in Pampa. He died on July 24, 1992.
Mrs. Hoy and her husband moved to Brownfield in 1946 and owned
and operated Hoy Flowers from 1947 until 1972. She moved to
Lubbock in 1999 where she was a resident of Elmbrook Estate. She
was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by one sister---Lola Baldwin on
March 23, 2001 and is survived by one nephew---Newell Baldwin
and his wife, Margaret, of Ransom Canyon and one niece---Alathia
Noles and her husband, L. A., of Levelland.
