Obituary for Lin Wood Howell

Services for Lin Wood Howell, 75, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Howell died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, at his home in Brownfield. He was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Jayton, to Lee and Vera Howell and moved with his parents to Brownfield in 1944. He was a high school graduate and a U.S. Army Veteran. He served in Korea.

Mr. Howell was a member of the VFW and the Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by a stepson--Stephen Fleming.

He is survived by his wife--Pam Howell of Brownfield; three daughters--Linda Thompson of Amarillo, Lisa McLellan of Red River, N.M. and Lydia Johnson of Denver, Colo. and by six grandchildren and one great grandson.
