Services for Clinton "Clint"
Howell, Jr., 78, of Brownfield, were held on
Tuesday, May 9, in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with
Rev. Douglas Shelly and Rev. Joe Hamilton officiating. Burial was in
Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Howell died Friday, May 5, 2006, in Lubbock. He was born July 17,
1927,
in Garza County and was married to Gladys P. Hendricks on March 31, 1952.
She died on Oct. 14, 1958.
Mr. Howell was married to Ouida LaBadie on Aug 6, 1962. He owned and
operated Clint's Auto Service for many years. He was also employed by
Mason
Oil Company for several years prior to his retirement in 2000.
He was a member
of the Bethel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Mr.
Howell is survived by
three daughter: Debra K. Metcalf and her husband, Jerry, of Brownfield, and
Edna Faye Stowe, and Freida Riley and her husband, John, all of Plano.
He is also
survived by four son: David Howell and Larry LaBadie and his wife, Lesa, all of
Brownfield; Stacy Howell and his wife, Donna, of Plano and Joe LaBadie of
Lubbock.
Mr. Howell is also survived by two brothers: Jerry and Jimmie Howell; two
sisters:
Leota Slaughter and Doris Kay and by 17 grandchildren and numerous
great-grandchildren.
