Olivia Edith Howard, 89, of Brownfield were held Wednesday, Nov. 26,
2008, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne and Rev. Jon
Patrick officiating. Interment followed in the Terry County Memorial
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Olivia passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, in Abilene. Olivia was born on May 25, 1919, to John and Susie Boring in New Castle. She married W.F. "Bill" Howard on July 10, 1937, in Haskell. They moved to Brownfield in 1941. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1967. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Odis Boring, Sr. and two sisters, Ivy Herod and Leona Prestridge. Olivia is survived by four sons, Kenneth Howard and his wife Iola of Norman, Okla., Johnnie Howard and his wife Brenda of Clyde, Donnie Howard and his wife Lois of Brownfield and Rickie Howard and his wife Cathy of Brownfield; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Evonna Smith of Bakersville, Calif. Pallbearers were John Howard, William Howard, Chris Howard, Wade Howard, Jason Howard, Scott McClure, Tim Hogue and Eric Howard.
