Memorial services for Nadene Hoch, 64, of Brownfield were held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Jim McKenzie and Rev. Charles Addington officiating. Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Nadene passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007, at her home. She was born April 28, 1943, in Crockett, TX to J. O. and Josie McKenzie. She attended and graduated from Grapeland High School. She married Forest Hoch, June 20, 1963, in Grapeland, TX. They moved to Brownfield in 1968.

Nadene attended East Texas Baptist College, Texas A & M University and Texas Tech University, where she received her Masters Degree in Education. She taught school for nearly 30 years and most recently ran the Reading First Program at Oak Grove Elementary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Nadene is survived by her husband, Forest; three daughters, Dianna Stephens and her husband Valton of Tahoka, Stacy Archer of Lubbock and Eva Hashemi and her husband Javad of Lubbock; two sisters Marlene Delavan of Rochelle, NJ and Marjorie Sefton of Pasadena, TX; a brother, Jim McKenzie, of Huntsville, TX. "Grammy" has five grandchildren who will miss her, Elyssa and Ethan Foshee, Mackenzie Archer and Evan and Jonathon Hashemi.
