Ida Gaston Hinkle, 88, went to be with Lord September 5, 2012. She was born April 4, 1924, in Brownfield, Texas, to Charlie W. Gaston and Minnie Lou Hudson Gaston. She was a homemaker.

Ida married the love of her life Clarence Hinkle in September, 1942. Before moving to Lubbock Ida was active in Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished her great grandchildren.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charlie; daughters Sandra Hinkle and Peggy Kapler; brother James Jefferson(Bill) Gaston and sister Janette Jackson.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include grand daughter Traci DeLa Cruz and husband Chris; great grand daughters Ashlee, Levi and Brooklyn De La Cruz all of Lubbock; sister Charlsie Roach and husband Jarvis of Denver City; sister in law Faye Beardon of Plains and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday September 6, 2012, from 5-7pm at Agape Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be 11am Friday September 7, 2012, at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield. Memorials can be made in Ida Hinkle's honor to Hospice of Lubbock.
