Hinkle, 92, of Brownfield passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010, in
Brownfield. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter and Rev. Odis Boring officiating. Interment will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Helen was born on June 15, 1918, in Grayson County to Hugh and Ora Gray. She started school in Spur, where she lived until February 1936. She then moved to Tokio, where she graduated from high school. She married Knox Hinkle on December 23, 1938. Helen was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian as well as a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and five sisters. Helen is survived by her husband, Knox Hinkle of Brownfield; a son, Gerald Dean Hinkle of Brownfield; two sisters, Frances Upton and her husband Charles of Brownfield and Nadine Mobley of Andrews and numerous nieces and nephews.
