Daniela Christine Hernandez, 21, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, in Lubbock.

A funeral mass was held July 18 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followed in the Brownfield Cemetery. Personel services were under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Daniela was born on Feb. 3, 1988, in Lubbock to Thomas M. Hernandez and Carmalinda Cervantes. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 2005 and attended South Plains College. She was employed for three years as a service writer at Stanley Motorplex. She was a member of the youth program at St. Anthony's and was a Brownfield volunteer for the PTO.

Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Jose and Linda Gomez of Brownfield and Thomas and Julie Hernandez of Lubbock, maternal grandfather, Frank Cervantes and maternal great grandmother, Anna Maria Salas, two sons, KeSean Dever and Keeston Henion, both of Brownfield and one daughter, Kierra Dever of Brownfield; six brothers, Eloy Saenz, Jr., Steven Saenz and Bryan Gomez, all of Brownfield, and Adam Hernandez, Thomas Hernandez, Jr. and David Hernandez, all of Lubbock; two sisters, Julia Rodriguez of Brownfield and Monica Hernandez of Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marcelina P. Cervantes.

The family requests all donations be made to Brownfield Animal Shelter.
