George White Henson, Jr., 77, of Brownfield will be held
at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, in the Brownfield Church of Christ with
Bob Reynolds officiating. Mr. Henson, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born Feb. 8, 1929 in Terry County and was married to Wanda Jo Winn on July 2, 1949 in the Johnson Community. Mr. Henson attended Brownfield High School. He farmed, ranched and helped run a chemical company in Terry County for more than 50 years. He received the Outstanding Young Farmer Award of Terry County in 1963 and was an active member of the State Association of Young Farmers of Texas. He had served on the South Gin Co-op Board. He and his partners founded Larry's Chemical in 1968. He was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife; one son---Monty and his wife---Kathy of Brownfield and one daughter---Treena Aston of Lubbock. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Tatum Schilling and her husband---Allen of Lubbock, Lacey Aston of Dallas, Birittany Aston of Lubbock, Avery Aston of Oxford, Miss., Madison Becker of Fort Worth. He is also survived by a son-in-law---Ronnie Aston of Lubbock and five sisters: Francille Price, Evelyn Thompson, Tissie Smith and Jesse Mary McClellan, all of Lubbock and Beryl Yowell of Brownfield.
