Services for Clarence Judson "C.J." Henderson, 89, of Brownfield
were held Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Brownfield Funeral Home
Memorial Chapel with Lewayne Henderson officiating. Burial was
in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Henderson died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 in Brownfield. He was born
Nov. 26, 1917, in Greenville to W.J. and Lela May Henderson and was
married to Rosetta Durham on Dec. 21, 1946, in Meadow.
Mr. Henderson graduated from Roberson High School in Crosby County.
He moved with his family to Terry County in 1937 and was a World War II
U.S. Air Force veteran with service from 1941 to 1945.
Mr. Henderson farmed in Terry County and was a member of the Brownfield
Church of the Living God where he served as a deacon for many years.
He retired from farming in 1984.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
He is
survived by his wife; one son---Lewayne and his wife---Sandra of Brownfield;
one daughter---Sharon Murphy and her husband---Scott of San Antonio and
one brother---Bill. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
