Obituary for Zoe Elsie Harvey

Services for Zoe Elsie Harvey, 88, of Portales, N.M., were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Van Webb officiating. Burial was in Terry County Cemetery.

Mrs. Harvey died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 24, 1918, in Sedan, Kans. to James and Rosalie Smith.

She was married to Calvin Glenn Harvey on Sept. 3, 1942, in Yuma, Ariz. He preceded her in death. She and her husband returned to Texas following his discharge from the U.S. Marines. They later moved to Portales, N.M.

Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by two brothers---Gordon and Stanley Smith.

She is survived by one sister---Veta Collins of Fairfax, Va.; one brother---Victor Smith and his wife---Frances of Seagraves; one sister-in-law---Juanelle Smith of Wolfforth and by several nieces and nephews.
