| Mary E. Harmon,
age 88 passed away Monday, September 20, 2010, in Brownfield. Services will be on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Eugene Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brownfield. Visitation will be on Friday, September 24, 2010, from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with family visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mark A Jones Funeral Directors. Personal services are under the direction of Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield. Mary was born January 22, 1922, to Sam and Sylvia Fininen in Frisco, Texas. She moved to Brownfield in 1948 from Frisco, Texas, and married the love of her life, Luther Harmon. She was content to be a housewife, taking care of her husband and children. Ms. Harmon's family remembers her as always being there when you needed her and just being Mom. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering. She was a Pentecostal. She is survived by 2 Daughters: Wanda Brown and husband Howard and Gladys Hinton of Brownfield; 6 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren and hosts of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by both parents: Sam and Sylvia Fininen; her husband Luther Harmon; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
