Services for B. Dick Hamm, Sr., 76, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m., Monday,
Sept. 22, at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruby Moultrie, Chaplain Don McWhorter and Homer Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church.

Dick passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born June 15, 1932, to L.D. and Clara Laster Hamm in Brownfield.

He graduated from Wellman High School in 1949, then graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology from West Texas State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He married Marlene Bailey on January 4, 1954, in Clovis, N.M. He was a member of Brownfield First United Methodist Church. Dick is preceded in death by a son, Billy D. "Duke" Hamm, Jr.; and three brothers, Robert, Mont and L.D. Hamm Jr.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.

Dick is survived by his wife Marlene of Brownfield; a son, David Hamm of Aubrey; two daughters, Cindy Everett of Sundown and Sandra Hamm of Brownfield; and six grandchildren.
