Obituary for S. M. Hamilton, Jr.

Services for S. M. Hamilton, Jr., 82, of Brownfield were held Friday, Dec. 28, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clarence Branch officiating.   Interment was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in Odessa. He was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Hope, Ark., to S. M. and Lydia Hamilton and moved to Monahans in 1951. He married Lura Gene Ewell, Nov. 3, 1953, in Lovington, N.M.    They moved to Brownfield in 1970.

Mr. Hamilton worked for Ingram, Inc. in Monahans and Brownfield for over 23 years, retiring in 1988.    He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons--Andy of Monahans and Danny of Lakeside; one daughter--Retta Bolling of Baytown; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
