Services for Kathrin Mae Hamilton, 91, of Brownfield were held Tuesday
October 31, in the First Christian Church with Rev. Ryan Pfeiffer officiating.
Burial was in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery. The services were
under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Kathrin's nephews served
as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hamilton died Sunday, Oct. 29, 200, in Brownfield. She was born
Oct. 30, 1914, in the Gomez to Simon and Hattie Holgate and graduated
from Brownfield High School. She attended Texas Tech
University and
taught school in Brownfield.
She married Jack Hamilton, her husband of 49 years, in Lovington, N.M.
in 1937. Jack was in the tire business in Brownfield for over 50 years. He
preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1986.
She was a charter member of the First Christian Church and supported all
of its activities. She had been active in the Alpha Omega Club,
Terry County
Historical Committee and the Terry County Museum Association. She had
also been a member of bridge clubs through the years. She was
a loving
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Kathrin is survived by two sons: Mike and his wife, Mary Joe Hamilton, of
Brownfield
and Pat and his wife, Glynda Hamilton, of Vancover, Wash. She
is also survived
by five grandchildren---Lee Wise, Beth Fay and her husband---Pat, Stacia
Hamilton, T.J. Hamilton and Cole Hamilton and his fiancee---Katie.
Kathrin is also survived
by five great-grandchildren---Meredith Olivia and Parker Wise and Christian and
Jessica Fay.
