Eva Contreras Gutierrez

Funeral Mass for Eva Contreras Gutierrez, 64, of Brownfield was
held Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church
with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial was in Brownfield
Cemetery. Rosaries were prayed on Monday and Tuesday,
Oct. 30-31, in Mark A. Jones Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Gutierrez was born Aug. 7, 1942, to Feliz and Elosia Contreras
in Runge, Texas. She was employed at the Village Grill for many
years and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong resident of Terry County.
Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by three sons---Rick Guerra and Joe Louis
Gutierrez, both of Brownfield and Carlos Gutierrez of Lubbock and
by two daughters---Annette Olivas of Sundown and Elva Lara of Lubbock.
She is also survived by one brother---Cipriano Contreras of Brownfield
and by a twin sister---Maria Tamayo of Torrance, Calif. Mrs.
Gutierrez
is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Patricia Gutierrez,
one brother and two sisters.
