Francisco M. Grimaldo, Sr.

Services for Francisco M. Grimaldo, Sr., 74, of
Brownfield, were held Friday,
March 24, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham
officiating. Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield
Funeral Home. Rosary was held Thursday, March 23, in Brownfield Funeral
Home.
Mr. Grimaldo died Tuesday, March 21, 2006. He was born March 9, 1932,
in
Calallen, and was raised in Corpus Christi. He moved to Brownfield
in 1944.
He was a truck driver and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and
Cursillista.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margarita; three sons: Bonifacio
of
Brownfield, Francisco, Jr., of Baytown, and Juan of Lubbock; six
daughters:
Andrea Rangel of Lubbock, Delfina Ramirez of Georgetown, Mona Lisa Garcia of
Lubbock, Marta Alvarado of Garland, Josephina Garza of Lubbock and Maria
Melgar of Lubbock; and four sisters: Ana Maria Salas, Maria Panifa DeLeon,
Narsisa Rendon and Guadalupe Mesquias. He is also survived by 47
grandchildren
and 29 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Grimaldo was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Margarito, and two
brothers, Bonifacio, Jr., and Perfecto, and one sister, Juana
Gutierrez. Grandsons
and a granddaughter served as pallbearers.
