Charles F. Gore, 74, of Brownfield will be Wednesday, March 12, at
Brownfield Funeral Home from 10 am - 7 pm. Memorial
services will be held at Heartland Funeral Home, Early, Tx.,
later this week. Mr. Gore died suddenly Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Comanche County to Charles Frank and Carrie Turner Gore. He attended Brownfield schools and was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Gore married Knoxie Brown, June 12, 1954, in Brownwood. They moved to Brownfield in 2006. He was employed with Atmos Energy for 35 years. He was a 25 year Volunteer Fireman in Lamesa and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in May. Mr. Gore is survived by his wife--Knoxie of Brownfield; three sons--Todd and his wife--Barbie of Lubbock, Joey of Niceville, Fla. and Phillip and his wife--Jamie of Brownfield. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two sisters--Cathy Voder and her husband--Bob of San Marcos and Carolyn Perkins and her husband--Windell of Brownwood; by one brother-in-law--Bill Brown and his wife--Linda of Brownwood; and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family suggests memorials to the charity of ones choice. Brownfield News |
