Gonzales, Jr., of Brownfield went to be with his Lord on Thursday,
September 17, 2009. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Jerry Leatham officiating. Interment will follow in Brownfield Cemetery. The family will have visitation Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. both nights. Umberto was born on June 7, 1965, in Brownfield to Umberto Sr. and Juanita Gonzales. He attended schools in Brownfield and was employed as a mechanic for many years. He worked for West Texas Peterbilt in Lubbock; Basic Energy in Seminole and Denver City and Butler Construction. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Umberto is survived by his mother, Juanita Gonzales of Brownfield; his daughter, Katherine Marie Gonzales of Midland; his granddaughter, Morgan Taylor Huck of Midland; three sisters, Debra Vasquez and her husband Paul of Brownfield; Emma Hernandez and her husband Freddy of Lubbock; and Erma Martinez and her husband Jimmy of Brownfield; his companion, Pam Howell of Brownfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Umberto Gonzales Sr.
