Gonzalez, age 68 of Brownfield, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007,
in Brownfield. Rosaries will be prayed Sunday and
Monday evenings at 7:00 PM at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in
Brownfield. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May
1, 2007, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham
officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery. Mrs. Gonzalez was born on January 25, 1939 to Elpido and Maria Rodriguez in Del Rio, Texas, where she attended school. On September 16, 1952, Maria married the love of her life Lionel Gonzalez. They have lived in Brownfield since 1941. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Lionel of the home, 2 Sons: Lionel Jr. of Nicholaville, KY., and Ramiro of Brownfield; and 3 Daughters: Enedelia Cruz of Brownfield, Mary Ann Mejia of San Mateo, California, and Diana De La Cruz of Colorado. She also has 3 brothers: Rudalfo Rodriguez of Del Rio, TX, Efrain Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, and Elpido Rodriguez Jr. of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Leticia, one sister, and one brother.
