                                Ebaristo Avalos Gonzales, 74, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2006,
                                at his home in Brownfield.   He was born October 26, 1931, to Fermin and Lorenza
                                Gonzales in Pana Maria, Texas.   He married the love of his life, Ofelia
                                Rodriguez Charles in Runge, Texas.   They moved to Brownfield in 1958.

                                Mr. Gonzales was a Catholic and was involved in the church choir and a member
                                of Cruzistas.  His greatest enjoyment was when the family would get together
                                and he was so proud about the longevity of his marriage and of his children.   
                                He loved music, gardening, fishing and baseball.   His desire and passion was 
                                that all his children would receive an education.

                                Rosaries were held on Monday afternoon, February 13, 2006, and on Tuesday,
                                February 14, 2006, at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel.  A funeral Mass was at
                                10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in
                                Brownfield.

                                Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Ofelia, of the home; 4 Sons:
                                Jimmie of Lubbock, Joe and Jimmy of Brownfield and Julio of Tahoka; 1 Daughter:
                                Sylvia Sanchez of San Marcos; 1 Brother:  Robert of New Braunfels, and 4 Sisters:
                                Juanita Balles of San Marcos, Amada Saenz of New Braunfels, Victoria Bronsic
                                of Karnes City and Aurelia Longoria of Dallas.   He also left 20 Grandchildren and 
                                30 Great-Grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Richard and 
                                Ebaristo, Jr.
