Amos Gobert, 83, passed from his life on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at Brownfield Regional Hospital in Brownfield.

Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield.  Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brownfield.  Personal services are under the direction of Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Mr. Gobert was born Nov. 7, 1925, to Clifford and Effie Gobert in Washington, La. Amos married Jewel Fuller on March 19, 1963, in Dallas. He moved to Brownfield five years ago from Dallas after retiring from his own construction company, A & J construction.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Jewel of the home; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Raul Serbantez and Robert Parish

He is preceded in death by both parents, Clifford and Effie Gobert; two brothers and two sisters.
