Obituary for Edna B. George

Edna B. George, 81, of Austin and formerly of Brownfield passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009, in Austin. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Edna was born on December 25, 1927, in Breckenridge, Texas to Guy and Clara Moreman. She moved with her parents to Brownfield in 1943 where she graduated from High School in 1946. She married Harvie George on November 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Edna is survived by her son, Mike George and his wife Theresa Pella of Cedar Park, and 4 sisters, Jimmie Chapman and her husband Don of Stephenville, Juanelle Goldston and her husband Leon of Fort Worth, Jolene Jones and her husband Roy of Andrews and Margie Daniels of Brownfield.
