Obituary for Tomas R. Garcia

Tomas R Garcia, age 68, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 04, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Garcia's services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church in Brownfield with Plutarco Garcia officiating.

Mr. Garcia was born on December 27, 1943, to Severo and Margarita Garcia in Brownfield, Texas. He married the love of his life Nancy M Garcia on July 4, 1965, in Brownfield.

Mr. Garcia enjoyed playing BINGO, slots, and cards. He liked watching TV as well. He loved spending time with his wife. He was known as a jokester.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years, Nancy Garcia of the home. 5 sons: Thomas Garcia, Jr and wife Kristina, Daniel Garcia and wife Irma Sanchez and Sammy Pete Garcia and wife Virginia all of Lubbock, Jessie Joseph Garcia and wife Geneva of Plainview and John Garcia and wife Gloria of Brownfield; 6 daughters: Alma Salinas and husband Telesforo, Mary Jane Garcia and husband Hilario Rodriguez, Margarita Fuentes and husband Antonio and Vanessa Morales and husband Joe all of Brownfield, Amanda Arciniega and husband Sevro Flores, Jr of Lubbock and Jennifer Garcia and husband Samuel Lopez of Kenner, LA.; 6 Brothers: Josefate Garcia of Brownfield, Remijio Garcia of Seminole, Rudy Ruiz of Houston, Severo Garcia, Jr. of Lubbock, Rudy Garcia and Joe Luis Garcia both of Kansas; 7 Sisters: Paula Garate, Rosa Garcia, Margarita Bentecourt, Rosalinda Whisnant and Ofelia Bentecourt all of Kansas, Sylvia Gonzales of Texas and Carmen Martin of Colorado. He also leaves!
behind 47 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 son: Luis Alberto Garcia in 2004; 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association of Lubbock 3403 - 73rd Street Lubbock, Texas 79423.
