64, of Brownfield passed from this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2011,
in Lubbock. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church in Brownfield. Personal services are under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors in Brownfield. Mr. Garcia was born in Brownfield on March 26, 1947, to Severo and Margarita Garcia. He married Mary Helen Farias in 1975 in Kansas. He was a lifelong resident of Brownfield. In 2002 he retired from being a farmhand and spent his time fishing and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joe Garcia in 1966; and two sisters, Belle Ruiz in 1977 and Ofelia Falcon in 1955. He leaves behind to cherish his memory four sons, Leonard Garcia Jr. and wife Christi, Marcilino Garcia, Johnny Lee Garcia and Felix Jimmy Garcia and wife Mindy, all of Brownfield; four daughters: Maria Christina Soliz and husband Phillip of Lubbock, Veronica Ann Garcia and companion Ronnie Garcia of Agua Dulce, Valyen Garcia and companion Ruben Fonseca of Brownfield, and Sadie Nicole Garcia of Kennedy; seven brothers and seven sisters. He also leaves 14 grandchildren to cherish his memory.
