Feliciano R. Garcia, Sr., age 82, passed away March 26, 2008, in Lubbock.

A Rosary was held Friday, March 28, at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield. A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, March 29, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followed at Brownfield Cemetery.

Mr. Garcia was born June 26, 1925, to Antonio and Maria Garcia in Mathis, Texas. He attended school in Mathis. He moved from Mathis to Loop, where he lived for 30 years and then moved to Brownfield in 1981. He was a farmer but also worked for the city of Brownfield and Best Western.

On February 18, 1942, he married Siria Pena in Robstown, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1997.

Mr. Garcia also served in the United States Army during World War II. and was also a member of the Cursillo Movement where he was a founder member in Lubbock and a lifetime member of the chapter in Brownfield.

Those left to cherish his memories are 8 Sons: Jose Maria Garcia of Amarillo, Feliciano Garcia, Jr., Ernesto Garcia, & Reyanado Jesus Garcia all of Lubbock, Manuel Garcia of Brownfield and Juan Garcia of Kermit. 6 Daughters: Lenora Deanda of Amarillo, Bule Rea of California, Sanjuana Mendez of Dallas, Ana Sanders Burse of Lubbock, Emma Young of Morton and Liza Garcia of Brownfield. 1 Sister: Olivia Mendoza of Levelland. He also leaves lots and lots and lots of Grandchildren, great-Grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Julie Garcia in 1945, and two brothers, Abel Garcia and Roman Garcia.
