Dominga R. Garcia, 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May31, 2012.  

Visitation for Ms. Garcia will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, and from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012.   Prayer services will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at Templo Betel in Brownfield with Pastor Santos Gamos officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield.  Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
 
Dominga was born on January 30, 1943, to Juan and Josefa Rodriguez in Austin.   Her family remembers how she enjoyed dancing, playing Bingo and going to garage sales. She loved Seek-N-Find books, scratch-offs, cooking and spending time with her family. Dominga was a great mom, grandma, mother-in-law and friend.
 
Those left to cherish her memories are four sons, Richard Alvarado and Raul Alvarado and wife Melissa, both from Seminole, Rudy Alvarado Jr. and wife Martha of Brownfield and Domingo Alvarado and wife Crystal of Lubbock; nine daughters, Suzanna Martinez and husband Gilbert and, Julia Marroquin and husband Pedro, both  of Brownfield, Maria Alvarado and Sylvia Mesa and husband Eligio, both of Lubbock, and Debbie Alvarado of Pampa and Tasia Alvarado of Lubbock, Erasmo Garcia, father of, Carolina Perkins and husband Randy of Lubbock, Maria Nieves Garcia of Wolfforth and Lorie Loera and husband Daniel of Brownfield; four brothers, Eugene Rodriguez of Michigan, Joe Rodriguez of San Angelo, Leonardo Rodriguez of Brownfield and Lazard Rodriguez of Lubbock; and two sisters, Margarita Grimaldo of Brownfield and Ernestina Sotello of San Antonio.

She also leaves behind 53 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
 
She is preceded in death by both parents; first husband, Rudy Alvarado Sr.; one brother, Narcisco Rodriguez; one sister, Juanita Flores; one son-in-law, Efreen Garcia; one great-grandson, Jayton Madrigal and two great-granddaughters, Isabella Vivianne and Alyse Josefa Alvarado.
 
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Kidney Foundation.
