53, of Brownfield passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in
Brownfield. Services were held Friday, April 3, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie McHugh officiating and Rev. Randy Land assisting. Interment followed in Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. The family had a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Angie was born on Aug. 22, 1955, in Hobbs, N.M. to Felix and Esther Castro. She moved to Brownfield with her family as a child in the 1960's. She married David Galvan in November of 1993, in Brownfield. Angie worked as a teacher for 22 years in Brownfield and Dawson. She was a member of First Baptist church. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Felix and Jimmy Castro; and her sister, Becky Castro. Angie is survived by her husband, David Galvan of Brownfield; two sons, Jeff Fabila of Brownfield and David Contreras of amarillo; two daughters, Barbara Baca and Tenda Galvan of Brownfield; her brother, Nabor Castro of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; seven sisters, Helen Mojica of San Antonio, Susie Jimenez of Andrews, Janie Zaragoza of Maui, Hawaii, Ruby Castro of Welch, Hope Rodriguez of Brownfield, Delores Hinojosa of Sundown and Betty Peralez of Brownfield.
