services for Colene "Cody" Fulford, 79, of Brownfield were held
Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Brownfield First Baptist Church with
Rev. Randy Land officiating. Burial was in Terry County Memorial
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Cody passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Tahoka to Condie and Gladys Carmack, and graduated from Tahoka High School. She married W. A. "Dub" Fulford on June 1, 1946. They moved to Brownfield in 1957. Cody devoted her life to serving others. She brought light to many lives with her grace and compassion. She loved spending time working outside and enjoying her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Cody was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Lee Dysart. Cody is survived by her husband, Dub, of Brownfield; two daughters, Lee Fulford of Brownfield and Fran Ebel and husband Michael of Bellwood, Neb.; sister, Marilyn McPhaul of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Teresa Porter and husband Paul, Trent Darby, Bonnie Dykstra and husband Curtis, Amanda Weeder and husband Mark, Robin Ebel, and Jeremiah Ebel; and three great-grandchildren.
