Betty Mason Fulford, 71, of Weatherford and formerly of Meadow were
held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Meadow First Baptist
Church with Rev. Ken McClung officiating. Burial was in Terry County
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. The family received visitors at the funeral home from 6-7:30 Thursday evening. Betty passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in Weatherford. She was born March 24, 1938, in Brownfield to Glen and Jackie Mason and grew up in Meadow, graduating from Meadow High School. She was a bookkeeper for Meadow Co-op & Gin and Frenship Gin for many years and was a member of Meadow First Baptist Church. Betty moved to Weatherford in 1999. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Weldon Mason. As Parkinsons took away the quality of her life, her strong will and determination kept her in the fight for 27 years. Betty is survived by her daughters, Sharon Allen and husband Gregg of Weatherford and Tonya Sparks and husband Gary of Graham; grandchildren, Brandon, Rusty, Trevor and Chelsey, Travis, Tate, Cason and Kelsey; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Wendel Mason and wife Vada Beth of Lubbock. The family suggests memorials to the National Parkinson's Association or American Cancer Society. Brownfield News |
