84, of Brownfield, passed away on December 19, 2010.
Rosary was held Monday, December 20, and Tuesday, December 21, 2010.
Funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010, with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followed at Brownfield Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors in Brownfield. Mr. Franco was born on November 6, 1926, to Juan and Francisca Franco. He married the love of his life, Petra Morin, in Karnes City. His family remembers him for being a friend to everyone. He love baseball, especially the Texas Rangers. He was a great farmer. He loved his grandchildren and his Chihuahua, Bella. He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son, Lary Joe Franco and wife Jane of Brownfield; one brother: Rojelio Franco of San Antonio; six granchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Francisca Trevina; his wife Petra in 1990; one brother and three sisters.
