| Services for
Harol Forbes, 82, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jackie C. Gestes, II officiating. Interment was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Mr. Forbes passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at his home in Brownfield. He was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Terry County to William Peyton, Sr. and Kate Ola Forbes and attended Pleasant Valley and Brownfield Schools. He married Lillie Clarene Briscoe, Nov. 18, 1944, in Brownfield. She preceded him in death March 1, 2007. Mr. Forbes was a farmer who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and watching "them Cowboys". He was an inactive deacon in the Baptist Church. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He had previously served on the Terry Co. Sheriff's Posse. He is also
preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. He
is survived by two daughters--Carla Rae Goodpasture of Lubbock and
Harlene Cornett and her husband Royce of Brownfield. He is also
survived by five grandchildren--Latreca Baker and her
husband--David, Joanie Gestes and her husband--Jackie, Junior
Cornett and his wife--Stacey, Heidi Moore and her husband--Billy Joe
and Lisa Briggs. |
