services for Lola Mae Farris, 83, of Hobbs, N.M. were held
Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Brownfield Cemetery. Interment was in
Brownfield Cemetery. Mrs. Farris was born July 4, 1923, in Noodle to Walter and Vera Farris. She finished High School and graduated from American Business College. She moved to Brownfield from Tokio in 1945. Lola worked in sales retiring with Montgomery Wards in Irving. She worked for J. C. Penney's for ten years. Lola also was a caretaker for others. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Levelland. She most recently moved to a nursing home in Hobbs. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and a nephew. She is survived by two nieces: Jeanette Collins of Tatum, N.M. and Roma Miller of Brownfield; a nephew, Calvin Farris of Seminole; & numerous great nieces and nephews.
