Thomas "Tommy" Scott Doss

Services for Thomas "Tommy" Scott Doss, 90, of Brownfield were held Saturday,
Aug. 5,
in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Ken Horn officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Doss died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 in Lubbock. He was born Dec. 6,
1915
in Millsap to T.S. and Elsie Mae Doss and was married to Jimmie Mozelle Picket
on Sept. 4, 1949 in Gomez. She died on Feb. 21, 1997.
He moved with his family to Terry County in 1992 and attended Gomez Schools.
He farmed in the Tokio, Gomez and Seagraves areas prior to his retirement in
1985.
Doss was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons---Scott Doss of Wolfforth and Lenis 'Scooter" Roscoe
of Oklahoma City, Okla; one brother, C.P. of Brownfield; five sisters, Verna Mae
King
of Plainview, Gwyneth Line of O'Donnell, Janie Doss of Lubbock, Maxine Doss of
Mountain View,
Calif. and Winnie Kinder of Arlington.
He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be
made to the Terry County XYZ Club. He was preceded in death by
four brothers,
Barney, Lester, Wayne and Winfred Doss.
