Dillard, 84, of Brownfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at
Brownfield Regional Hospital. A rosary was
prayed Thursday, Nov. 1, at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel. The
funeral mass was held Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Anthony's Catholic
Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. On Dec. 18, 1922, Mrs. Dillard was born to Enjenia and Alejandrina Serna in Devine. She was a life time resident of Brownfield. In August, 1936, she met and married David Dillard. They were married in Charlotte. Mr. Dillard preceded her death on Sept. 16, 1972. Mrs. Dillard is survived by four sons--Jacova and Poncho Dillard, both of Brownfield; David Dillard, Jr. of Lubbock and Ernesto Jimenez, Jr. of Ft. Worth. She is also survived by four daughters--Maria Dillard Rodriguez and Audona Garcia, both of Brownfield and Adelina Villarreal and Marcela Aguilar both of Amarillo and one sister--Pauline Valenzuela of Brownfield, and by 57 Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters--Erlinda Mesa, Juanita Gomez and Merejilda, and by her mother--Alejandrina Serna. Brownfield News |
