Obituary for Annie Mae Dickson

Services for Annie Mae Dickson, 98, of Brownfield, were held Tuesday, May 9, in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Joplin and Rev. Randy Land officiating. Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Dickson died Saturday, May 6, 2006 in Lubbock. She was born Dec. 23, 1907 in Lamar County and was married to Grady Lewis Dickson in 1923. He died on Oct. 3, 1968.

They moved to the Gomez Community in 1942 where they farmed until Mr. Dickson's death. They moved to Brownfield in 1960.

Mrs. Dickson was a clerk at Cobb's Department Store and was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School.

She is survived by two daughters---Janie Speed and her husband---Merlin of Kingsland and JoAnne Johnson and her husband---Carrol of Brownfield. Mrs. Dickson is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Dan Johnson, Steve Johnson, Randy Speed, Mark Speed, Mike Speed and Travis Speed.
