Obituary for Dario Diaz, Sr.

Dario Diaz, Sr, age 53 passed from this life on Sunday, September 23, 2012, in Lubbock.

Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, 2012. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services for Mr. Diaz will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Templo Betel in Brownfield with Pastor Mike Moreno officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Mr. Diaz was born on August 21, 1959, to Lorenzo and Juanita Diaz in Melvin, Texas. He was a member of the National Guard.

His family will remember him for his love of building and playing golf. He was a jack of all trades and he liked to joke around. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his dog "Charlie". He had a big heart and would help anyone.

Those left to cherish his memories are 2 sons: Dario Diaz, Jr and Dario Alaniz both of Brownfield; 2 daughters: Priscilla Diaz and spouse Erica Martinez and Jackie Morin and husband Gilbert, Jr all of Brownfield; 5 brothers: David Diaz of Chicago, Richard Diaz of Michigan, Oscar Diaz of West Virginia, Larry Diaz of Fredericksburg, Texas and Edward Diaz of Brownfield; 5 Sisters: Sally Medina, Lidia Curiel, Sandra Smith, and Yolanda Diaz all of Brownfield and Norma Gaitan of Florida.

He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson: Aiden Marco Burns in 2007; and 3 brothers: Lorenzo Diaz, Jr in 1967, Daniel Diaz in, 2012, and Baby Diaz in 1964.
