Judy Dawson, 79, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April
24, at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Terry
County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral
Home. Judy was born on December 11, 1928, in Roscoe, Texas to George and Bertha Folmar. She married J. B. Dawson on July 6, 1945, in Snyder, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1963 where she was a nurse at Brownfield Regional Medical Center until 1981 and then at the Methodist Hospital in Levelland before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, J. B. Dawson. She is survived by daughter, Connie Corby of Salina, Kan.; four sons, Marvin Dawson and wife, Dian of Brownfield, David Dawson, and wife Carol of Texarkana, Gary Dawson, and wife JoAnna of Brownfield and Charles Dawson, and wife Pam of Clyde; her sister, Lois Carlton of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
