Obituary for Donald Ray Davis

Services for Donald Ray Davis, 61, of Brownfield will be at 10 a.m., Thursday,
June 26 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Donald passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born December 8, 1946, in Paris, Texas, to George and Tina Mae Davis and moved to Brownfield with his family in 1956. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1965.

Donald married Carlene Collins, August 12, 1983, in Brownfield. He was employed with Sears Copeland in Brownfield and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and past Quarter Master.

He is preceded in death by his parents and twin daughters, Jennifer and Virginia.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carlene Davis, of Brownfield; three sons, Jeff Davis and his wife, Ofelia, of Brownfield, James Davis and his wife, Ruthy, of Lamesa and Scott Davis of Lubbock; a daughter, Scarlet Franklin and her husband Floyd of Mesquite; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
