Sirilda B. Davila, 87, of Brownfield were held at 10 a.m. Saturday,
March 13, 2010, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald
Leatham officiating. Burial followed in Brownfield Cemetery under
the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Sirilda passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at her home in Brownfield. She was born December 9, 1922, in Runge, Texas to Matias and Maria Barrientez. She is preceded in death by her parents, four grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers. Sirilda is survived by her children, Geneva Bustillos of Meadow, Elvira Rosales of Brownfield, Santiago Davila of Meadow, Santos Davila of Brownfield, Gloria Castilleja of Meadow, Abelardo "Junior" Davila of Meadow, Janie Jacquez of Brownfield, Maggie Longoria of Brownfield and Sylvia Gonzales of Brownfield; 38 grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marcus, Angel and Lilo Barrientez, all of Karnes City; three sisters, Tomasa Mendoza of Helena, Dominga Morin of Karnes City and Aurora Davila of Karnes City.
